JEANETTE DAIGLE
DAIGLE, JEANETTE - Mrs. Jeanette (Bourque) Daigle, 79, of Saint-Leonard passed away unexpectedly at the Edmundston Regional Hospital on October 10, 2009. She was the wife of Hermile Daigle. Born at Haute-Aboujagane in 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arcade and Eva (Drisdelle) Bourque. She is survived by her husband Hermile; her sons, Maurice (Margaret) of Saint-Leonard, Marc (fiancée Nathalie) of Joliette, Quebec and Marcel (Theresa) of Caribou, Maine; five grandchildren, Denise, Philippe, Luc, Sebastien and Andre and three great grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, Doris Léger-Hébert (late Mélas) and Lorraine, both of Moncton, Gloria of Cocagne, Laurie (Carmel) of Dieppe, Rhea of Shediac Cape and Georges (Beatrice) of Shédiac. She is also survived by two brothers-in-law and their spouses. Jeanette adored her children and grandchildren and was completely devoted to her husband. After receiving her education at Bouctouche and Moncton, she worked at Moncton before settling down at Saint-Leonard where her work at Daigle's Motel took up most of her energy and her time supporting her husband's business ventures. Usually, after putting in long hours during the summer, Jeanette and Hermile would travel to Hallandale, Florida where they would rest and re-energize for the following tourist season. During their retirement years, they spent a few years in her native Barachois region before permanently settling down at Saint-Leonard. The painting Jeanette enjoyed in earlier years became her favorite pass-time. Friday nights were frequently spent playing cards with her friends. Her funeral service was held Tuesday, October 13th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church, with Father Roland Poitras officiating. Interment followed in the Saint-Leonard cemetery. Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home Ltd. www.oregans.ca
