STEEVES, JEAN S. - Jean S. Steeves, 81, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Church Court, Moncton, with members of her family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Born in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Hulbert and Vera (DeBow) Lane. Jean was a former employee of the T. Eaton Co. Ltd. and Clogg's Jewellery Ltd. She was a member of First Baptist Church, member of the Evelyn Eaton W.M.S. and Dominion Life Member of the U.B.W.M.U. She enjoyed reading, playing Skip-Bo, knitting and socializing with her friends and family. Jean will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law, Reg Steeves (Georgina); sisters-in-law, Helen Hawkes (late Kelsey), Evelyn Turner (late Austin); several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband, the late Rev. Chester Steeves (1985).
