KEVIN JOHN MICHAEL CONNELL
CONNELL, KEVIN JOHN MICHAEL - It is with great sadness that the Connell Family announces the sudden passing of Kevin John Michael Connell on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Montreal, Quebec at the age of 23. Born in Miramichi, NB on September 27, 1986, he was the son of Maureen (McEvoy) Connell and the late Jack Connell. He was a thoughtful son, a helpful grandson, a loving brother, a doting uncle, and a loyal friend. Kevin graduated from James M. Hill Memorial High School in 2004 and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from The Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in Merrimack, NH in 2008. He spent part of his sophomore year in Rome, Italy and returned home with growing maturity and a strong appreciation for his family. Kevin had a passion for music, which he shared with many friends. He was a deep thinker who liked to talk, debate and discuss everything from politics to the weather. Kevin loved his family and took great joy in being part of holiday gatherings and special occasions. He was creative and talented and usually announced his presence in the house by playing the piano. He loved poetry, literature, watching movies and comedy shows. He was also a gentleman and was attentive to all the women in his life, especially his mother. In March 2009 Kevin moved to Montreal, excited about beginning the next phase of his life. He was looking forward to playing music, meeting new friends, and planned to eventually attend graduate school and study Irish poetry. Besides his mother Maureen, Kevin is survived by his four sisters, Maggie (David Walsh), Cathleen (Peter Sullivan), Emily (Ken Trudeau), and Mary Rose; his brother, Matthew (Andrea Connell); his niece, Catherine Walsh; his grandparents, Anna and Thomas Power; as well as his many aunts, uncles and cousins. Kevin is pre-deceased by his father, Jack Connell; and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary McEvoy. Kevin is loved and will be missed always. Kevin is resting at 12 Phelan St, Miramichi on Monday, October 19th from 5pm till 8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 20th at 11am from St Michael's Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in Church Cemetery.
