RICHARD, BERTHA - 1931-2009 -Bertha Richard, 78 of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Cocagne, has passed away after a brief illness at the residence on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009. She was married to the late Edouard Richard (1989). Born in Cocagne on March 27th, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and the late Elise (Cormier) Léger. She leaves to mourn her three sons, Ronald (Louise) of Bouctouche, Paul (Jeannette) of Dieppe, Michel (Karen) of Chilliwack, BC; two granddaughters, Annie and Julie. She also leaves her four sisters, Mina Cormier of Cocagne, Auréa Belliveau of Saint-Paul, Anna Despres (Ulric) of Corona, California, Anne LeBlanc (Ovila) of Saint-Antoine; four brothers, Armand (Elodianne), Elzéar, Lionel (Viola) all of Cocagne, Elizée (Lanie) of Massachusetts; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one daughter, Bernice; one sister, Mélanie; and four brothers, Pierre, Cyril, Telex and Ulric. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
