ALWARD, LAWRENCE WILFRED - 57, of Calgary, AB and formerly of Havelock passed away on October 18, 2009 following a short illness. Lawrence, born September 25, 1952 was a son of the late Wilfred and Alice Alward. He was a self-employed painter; loved life and was always smiling. He loved to be surrounded by family, friends and there was nothing more he enjoyed than cooking for them. Lawrence also loved to travel and see new places. Lawrence is lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by his wife of twenty-three years, Brenda; sister Annabel (Doug); brother Winston (Betty); brother-in-law Glenn (Barb); sisters-in-law Linda, Marilyn (John) and Laura (Mike); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lawrence was predeceased by his father Wilfred and mother Alice. The funeral service will be held from Havelock Wesleyan Church, Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Parks officiating. Interment to follow at Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock. In memory of Lawrence memorials, if desired, to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
