GOULD, ALICE MARIE CECILE - Alice Marie Cecile Gould, age 96, of Shemogue, passed away at the Villa de Providence, Shediac on Monday, October 26, 2009. Born in Saint Paul, NB, she was a daughter of the late Maximin and Marie LeBlanc. A former school teacher she ran the Post Office in Shemogue and also a general store. She was a member of St. Timothee Roman Catholic Church. She is survived five sons, Reginald (Prescille), Grand Barachois, Albéo (Marie), Shemogue, Guy (Rose), Shemogue, Lorenzo, Shemogue, Norman (Micheline), Shemogue; four daughters, Maria Leger (Antoine Richard), Petit Cap, Roseline (Hubert) Cormier, Shemogue, Zella (Jean-Paul) Duguay, Shemogue, Cécile (Ola) Melanson, Cap Pele; 15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Aimée; a son, Hubert; grandson, Mathieu. The oldest of her immediate family, she was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin (538-2241). Visitation will take place at the Club d'age d'or, Shemogue, on Wednesday, October 28, from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothee Roman Catholic Church, Shemogue, on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 11 am, Father Emery Brien officiating. There will be no visitation before Mass.
