BRUN, EDNA - The death of Edna Brun, age 91, of Sackville, occurred at her home on Friday, November 6, 2009. Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Francois and Exilda (LeBlanc) Bourgeois. An athlete in her younger years, she was a member of the 1934 Sackville All Stars Ladies Softball Team, being inducted into the sports "Wall of Fame" in May of 1997. She was a member of the St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Madeleine, Sackville and Annette, Amherst; son Robert (Margaret) Oshawa, ON; 3 grandchildren, Dian (Chris), Kyle (Michelle) and Nicole; 6 great grandchildren; sister Irene (Ludger) Throop; a brother Laurie; 7 nieces and 3 nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Felix in 1989, a daughter Helen in 1965, a grandson Marc in 1996 and sister Alice in 2009. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB, 506-364-1300 where visiting hours will take place on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11 am, Father Michael Toner officiating. Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery.
