
GERALD "TOM" LEBLANC
LEBLANC, GERALD "TOM" - Gerald "Tom", 83, of Résidence Bellevue, Dieppe and formerly of Cameron Arms, Moncton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Born on January 5, 1926 in Lewisville, NB, he was the son of the late Thomas and Catherine (Léger) LeBlanc. Before his retirement, Gerald worked at the CN Humpyard and was also a barber. Known as Candy Man by many and as Santa Claus by friends and family for many years, he volunteered for Christmas Daddies and Spina Bifida. He was also a past member of the Bi-Centennial Skating Club, CN Pensionners' Association and a member of St. Augustine's R.C. Church. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Boudreau) LeBlanc of Moncton; two daughters: Annette Doucet (Jean-Charles) of Fredericton and Louise Tower (Gerald) of Moncton; one son: Michel (Jeanne) of Fredericton; one brother: Francis "Frank" (Betty) of Moncton; eight grandchildren: Miquelle, Nathalie, Katherine, Julie, Janel, Shawn, Courtney and Stephanie; ten great grandchildren: Nia, Alie, Claire, Julia, Noah, Rhylie, Gwen, Wyatt, Caroline and Sarah; his former son-in-law: David Price, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Suzanne; one sister: Mary Ann, and three brothers: John, Laurie and Clarence. The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's R.C. Church, Dominion Street, Moncton on Monday, November 9 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Gerald, a contribution to the N.B.
