LAXTON, LEO BRIAN - of Moncton, formerly of Campbellton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, November 12, 2009. Born in Campbellton, on March 14, 1952, he was the son of the late Ben and Hilda (Harquail) Laxton. Leo was former owner/operator of LKBR Trucking. He was an avid bowler, dart player, a card player, who would never back down from any hand, NASCAR enthusiast, big Dale Earnhardt fan, and enjoyed spending time with his dog Missy. He will be greatly missed by the love of his life, his wife Karen (Harquail), daughter; Bonnie-Jean Laxton-Nowlan (Derek) of Sunny Corner and son; Rodney (Jennifer) of Moncton, grand children; Kaitlyn, Matthew and Ryan, sisters; Debbie Jeffries (Richard) and Kathy Laxton, brothers; Ricky (Blanche) and Ben; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his siblings; Audrey, Sandra and Bernard. The family will be receiving friends and visitors at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007), on Sunday, November 15, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with parish prayers and sharing of memories at 8:30pm. Funeral service will take place at Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 16, at 11am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating.
