HUGHES, DORIS EMMA - 84, of Riverview passed away at her residence Monday, November 16, 2009. Doris, born April 25, 1925 in Cambridge NB, was a daughter of the late D. Milton and Bessie (Barton) Hughes. She was a retired Nursing Supervisor with the former Jordan Memorial Home and a member of the Whitepine Baptist Church, Riverview and the WMS and Fellowship Group of the church. Doris belonged to Monday Morning Merry Makers, Salisbury and Seniors Bowling League in Riverview. She is survived by her brother Rev. Kenneth Hughes (Carolyn) of Havelock and many nieces and nephews. Doris is predeceased by sisters Dorothy Hughes, Harriett Dickison, Iona Branscombe, Pauline Pitt and brothers Arnold and Carey Hughes. At Doris' request there will be no visitation or funeral at this time. There will be a graveside service at the Cambridge Narrows Baptist Cemetery at a later date. Memorials if desired to the Whitepine Baptist Church or Friends of the Jordan LifeCare Centre would be appreciated by her family.
