LIRETTE, ROGER SR. - 1934 - 2009 - Roger Sr. Lirette, 75, of McDougall Settlement, NB, passed away on Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in McDougall Settlement, NB, he was the son of the late Edouard and the late Rosalie (née: McGraw) Lirette. Prior to retirement, Mr. Lirette worked as a Dozer operator, both in Canada and the USA. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens, also he loved hunting and appreciated nature. He is survived by his wife, Yolande (née: Larcenaire); three daughters: Bertha (Peter) Hilcz, Phyllis (Maxwell) Doucette and Carol Lirette; one son, Roger Jr.; five sisters: Dorina (Alcide) Cormier, Imelda (Edmond) Poirier, Norma (Arthur) Green, Rita (Paul) Gallant and Jeannita (Francis) Gallant; seven brothers: Desiré (Dorice), Henri (late Viola), John (Dorothy), Robert (Karen), Camille (Marguerite), Rodolphe (Diane) and Joseph (Jeannette); six grandchildren: Marc, Mireille, Danika, Janika, Melissa and Nathan; one great granddaughter, Kaya as well as several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters: Florida and Corinne. Visitation will be held from the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Funeral Salon on Friday from 1 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 9 to 11 am. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Notre-Dame, NB on Saturday, November 28th, 2009 at 11 am. Interment in the parish cemetery, Notre-Dame, NB.
