CORMIER, THELMA M. - Thelma M. Cormier, 98, of Moncton and formerly of Riverview, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, December 3, 2009. Born in River Glade, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Harriet (Taylor) Brown. Thelma was a retired employee of Modern Enterprises Ltd., Moncton, member of Gunningsville Baptist Church, Riverview and the Evelyn Mae White Unit of the W.M.S. She enjoyed knitting, listening to music, reading her bible, spending time with her friends and quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thelma will be sadly missed by her son Harold "Hal" (Elizabeth), Riverview; grandchildren, Kathryn, Kristopher, K. Doug, Adam, Natalie; great grandchildren, Kristina and Zachary; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold "Bob" (1950); daughter, Helen Reed (1999); sister, Ruth Watters; brothers, Edwin and Arnold Brown. In keeping with Thelma's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. Celebration of Life Service for Thelma will be held at Gunningsville Baptist Church, Riverview, Sunday, December 6, 2009, 2:00 pm, Rev. Blair Holden officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton.
