MCEACHREON, TERESA M. I. - 1929-2009 - Miramichi - Teresa Mary Irene McEachreon, wife of James J. (Nimmy) McEachreon, of Princess Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, December 7, 2009, at the age of 80. Born in Kent County, on October 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Irene (McAulay) Whelan. She was a homemaker; a teacher and librarian by profession and a member of the N.B. Retired Teachers' Assoc. Following her teaching career, she was instrumental in providing biographical information for numerous well known authors and broadcasters, such as Peter Gzowski. She was a dedicated member of St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. She is survived by her husband, James J. (Nimmy) McEachreon; one son, Thomas McEachreon (Francine), of Oak Bay; one brother, Vincent Whelan (Marie), of Kingston, N.S.; one grandchild, Summer McEachreon; one sister in law, Margaret Whelan. She was predeceased by one brother, Ronald Whelan. Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Tuesday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors choice, would be appreciated by the family.
