STEEVES, HORACE M. - Horace M. Steeves, 87, of Royal Court, Riverview and formerly of Moncton, passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Murray and Elizabeth (Tramley) Steeves. Horace was retired from CN Purchasing and Materials with 43 years service, a member of First Baptist Church, past President of the Men's Brotherhood and served his church in various other offices in past years. He was a Charter Member of the Moncton Probus Club, member and Past Master of Keith Lodge #23 F. & A.M., past Senior Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of New Brunswick, past Grand Representative to the Grand Lodge of Venezuela, member of Luxor Shrine Temple, Saint John and the Moncton Shrine Club and former member of Magnetic Hill Golf and Country Club. Horace will be sadly missed by his daughter, Judy Steeves (John Little), Ottawa; granddaughter, Trish, Edmonton; brother, Stan (Eileen), Riverview; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Robin (Wilson) Steeves (2007). No visitation by personal request. Keith Lodge #23 F. & A.M. Memorial Service, Thursday, 6:30 pm at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service for Horace will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Friday, December 18, 2009, 11:00 am, Rev. Dr. Richard Jackson officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
