DOLLARD DUPUIS
DUPUIS, DOLLARD - Dollard Dupuis of Foyer Saint Thomas passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at his residence at the age of 86. Born on February 8, 1923 in Memramcook East, he was the son of the late Jimmy Dupuis and the late Yvonne Landry. He was a Funeral Director and founder of Dupuis Funeral Home that he started on November 22, 1963 and retired November 22, 1987 and operated Dupuis Printing in Memramcook. He was a war veteran of the 2nd World War (Air Force), member and Past President of the Memramcook Legion Branch # 89 and was involved in the Memramcook Air Cadets for many years. He was on the organizing committee for the Mere Marie Leonie Monument Project that he had great faith in her. After he retired, he volunteered for the Foyer Saint Thomas and Domaine de la Vallee and the Handi Bus. He is survived by his two daughters, Linda (Valmond) Richard and Bernadette Dupuis both of St-Joseph, two sons, Leonce (Simonne) of Little Dover Rd and Charles of Dieppe, one daughter-in law, Jeannine of Memramcook four sisters, Dorine (late Antoine) LeBlanc, Violette (Emile) Cormier, Anise (late Jude) LeBlanc all of St- Joseph and Marguerite (Ernest) Landry of Chelsey, Ma, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Doris (2005), one son Jean-Guy (1998) and five brothers Alyre, Leandre, Yvon, Gerard and Leo-Paul. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Sunday, December 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday, December 28 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The Legion Branch # 89 will conduct a Last Post Service on Sunday, December 27 at 2:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St-Joseph on Monday, December 28 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
