
JAMES (JIM) ALLISON
ALLISON, JAMES (JIM) - The death of James (Jim) Allison, husband of the late Edythe Mae (Harris) Allison of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Sunny Corner, NB, occurred on Monday, December 28, 2009 at his late residence at the age of 94. Born in Boom Road, NB, he was the son of the late Edward and Janet (Craig) Allison. Jim was a retired custodian from NSER and attended St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner, NB. Jim is survived by: one daughter: Hope (Leslie Flett) of Miramichi, NB; three sons: Lenley (Carla) of Strathadam, NB; James Dean (Patti) of Sunny Corner, NB; Cyril (Brenda) of Moncton, NB; one brother: Alex Allison of Miramichi Senior Citizens Home; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife: Edythe, Jim is predeceased by: one son: Currie (1975); sisters: Gladys Mullin and Olive Duguay; brothers: Edward, William, Earl, Mervin, Percy, Weldon and Gordon. The family will receive visitors at Meadows Funeral Home Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner, NB, on Wednesday at 2 PM with Rev. J. Gillis Smith officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen's Presbyterian Cemetery, Boom Road, NB later in the spring. In Jim's memory, donations may be made to the St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
