MOAR, NOREEN - Noreen Julia (Rigley) Moar passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Mount St Joseph Nursing Home at the age of 92 years. Noreen was married for 61 years to Frederick Moar. Born in Chatham on November 28th 1917, Noreen was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Rigley. Mom's family was her life. She was a devoted wife to Fred (Toot) and proud mother to Jim(Peggy), Judy (Mike) and Joan (Bernard); grandmother to Vanessa (Matt), Brian (Erin), Jillian, Lauren, Emma and Peter, great-grandmother to Elliot, Owen and Sam. Noreen is also survived by her brother Hubert Rigley, sisters, Frances Traer and Bertha (Jim) MacDonald and Many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Gladys Duffy and brothers Ned, Jackie and Danny Rigley. Mom was a gentle and humble woman of great faith. She enjoyed a good laugh. We will always remember mom fondly. At Noreen's request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Basilica on Wednesday, January 6th at 11am. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Mount St Joseph Nursing Home or the Alzheimer's Society.
