HUBBARD, GLADYS HELEN "PEARL" - The death of Gladys Helen "Pearl" Hubbard of Miramichi, NB occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the age of 81. Born in Blackville, NB, Pearl was the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl (Duncan) Johnson. Pearl was a homemaker, cook at the Fundy Line Restaurant and waitress at the MicMac and the Tea Garden, past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 10 Newcastle and attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Pearl is survived by three daughters: Judy Russell (Gordon), Sharon Simpson and Marjorie Hubbard-Doiron (Gerald) all Miramichi, NB; two sons: Roger of Miramichi, NB and Francis (Dale) of Oak Point. NB; one brother: Robert (Bob) of Sault St. Marie, ON; eight grandchildren: Kim, Christie, Jeff, Steven, Jason, Lishia, Bryce and Shanna; four great grandchildren: Aaen, Kate, Ivy and Denao and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by: infant son: Wesley; infant grandson: Scott; son-in-law: Doug Simpson; five sisters: Annabell Warren, Alice Astles, Guila Gillespie, Ruth Lee and Marjorie Warren; two brothers: Edward and Wallace. Visitation will be held at Bell's Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11 am from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Father Walter Lynch officiating. Burial will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery later in the spring. In Pearl's memory a donation may be made to the NB Lung Association or the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
