MARJORIE JOAN SPICER
SPICER, MARJORIE JOAN - 1946-2010 - Marjorie Joan Spicer, 63, of Moncton passed away peacefully on January 22, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital. Marjorie was born in Lewisville on February 6, 1946 the daughter of the late Vance and Greta (Killam) Hawkes. She was a housewife and mother and later in life worked in Real Estate. Marjorie loved her family and was a beloved wife and mother and grandmother. She attended the Cherryfield Baptist Church. Marjorie struggled with her health over the past few years but she was always upbeat and kept a good attitude. She especially enjoyed spending time on her computer, keeping in touch with family and friends. She loved to laugh and enjoyed living life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her smile and will live on in the hearts of her family forever. She will be deeply missed by her husband and best friend, Willis Spicer; daughter, Wendy Spicer (Richard) of Moncton; son, Larry Spicer (Sheena) of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Nicholas, Amy, Abigail and Andrew; her three brothers, Weldon Hawkes (Alfretta) of Moncton, Douglas Hawkes (Juanita) of Riverside-Albert and Robert Hawkes (Janet) of Kitchener, Ont.; sister-in-law, Marty of Moncton. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews; good friends, Jeanette Kelly, Pat Brown and Ella Surette and by all her church family at Cherryfield Baptist Church. Besides her parents she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Marilyn; brother, Delbert and by two half-sisters, Marlene and Gladys. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Chet MacPhail officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Curryville Cemetery, Curryville, N.B. at a later date. Donations to the Cherryfield Baptist Church or to the Curryville Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
