CARKNER, HELEN CONSTANCE - of Moncton, loving wife of the late Maynard Carkner passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Moncton hospital following a short illness. Born on July 16, 1918 in Stellarton NS, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Mary (MacDonald) Meagher. Helen is survived by daughter Donna Navaux (John), grandson Dean Navaux, granddaughter Tricia Wetterberg (Don), great-grandsons Ben and Luke Wetterberg, sister Marlene Scotchburn (Scotch) and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers; Edward, William and James, sisters; Eileen Griffith, Margaret Akerley and Evelyn MacKeagan, as well as, great-grandson Jeffrey Navaux. In accordance with her wishes funeral arrangements will be private. Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) are in care of the arrangements.
