The passing of Sylvia Georgina Wheeler, daughter of Henderika (Egberts) McInnis and the late Lewis McInnis occurred on February 26, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was born December 21, 1947 in Chipman, NB. Sylvia loved music and spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her mother, Sylvia is survived by two sons, Jody (Lynn) of Grafton, NB and Trevor (Kristina) of Fredericton, NB; one sister, Rika (Jack) Johnston of Oakville, ON; four grandchildren, Makenzie, Noah, Tyler and Hope; nephew, Jaime Johnston and niece, Julie Kumaria, and her best friend, Nancy Fletcher. Besides her father, Sylvia is predeceased by her brother, Toby McInnis.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2 pm with Pastor Mel Norton officiating. Pallbearers will be Jack and Jamie Johnston, Amit Kumaria, Makenzie Wheeler, Noah Bourque and Nancy Fletcher. Interment will take place at the Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
