Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, February 26, 2010, Stella Theresa Kavanagh, aged 79 years. Predeceased by her husband James P. Kavanagh (1979); sister: Rita Cahill (Corbett); brothers: Patrick, Richard, Dan Corbett; brother-in-law: Fred Kavanagh. Leaving to mourn her children: Paul (Gen), Gerry, Jim (Anne Marie), Mike, Bob (May), Maureen and Patricia (Brendan); special daughter-in-law: Rosemary, 5 grandchildren: Julie and Michael, Stephen, Victoria and Dylan; sisters: Sheila Mackey and Ellen Shouldice; brothers-in-law: Harold Cahill, John Kavanagh and Art Kavanagh (Colette) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends, especially Mary, Leslie and Thomasine Power, Jeannie and Randy Chafe and family, Madeline Ronayne and Marg Hinchey, Don and Isabel Blackmore. Special thank you to the Doctors and Nursing staff of 5 South A and CICU, Health Sciences Centre. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Monday, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
