Formerly of Atlantic Street, Sydney Mines, N.S., passed away on Feb. 28, 2010 at Newport Harbour Care Centre, Calgary, Alta. at the age of 74.
Born in Sydney Mines on Nov. 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James and Lavinia (Rigby) Brown. She was a member of St. Pius X Church, as well as the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #8, Sydney Mines. She enjoyed knitting, skating, darts, dancing, bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Lorne, her siblings and their spouses, Peggy (George) MacNeil, Kay (Allan) MacNeil and George (Maureen) Brown; sister-in-law, Aurelia (Floyd) Tufts and brother-in-law, Clayton Bungay.
Pat is survived by three sons, Lorne (Mary) of Calgary, Alta., Greg (Claire) of Stratford, P.E.I., James, Sydney Mines, N.S. and daughter, Marian (Randy) of Newmarket, Ont. She is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah, Michael and Luke, Annie, Mary and Maureen, Jonathan, Andrew and Tori (Aaron); two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Jack; cousin, George Baldwin; brothers-in-law, Bill (Catherine) Bungay, Sonny (Alice) Bungay; sisters-in-law, Lila (Hal) Gerhardt and Dorothy Bungay, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by family, neighbors and friends.
Funeral service to be held at a later date in Sydney Mines.
