19, New Waterford Stephanie Finlayson, 19, of New Waterford, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of Stephen and Valerie (Loveys) Finlayson, New Waterford. Stepahnie was baptized at Calvin United Church and was a member of the Salvation Army, New Waterford. She graduated from Breton Education Centre in 2007 and later became employed with Spiegel Catalog Teleservices Company in New Waterford. Surviving are sisters, Lacey Finlayson and Holly Finlayson, both of New Waterford; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Maureen (LeBlanc) Finlayson; paternal great-grandmother, Bridget LeBlanc; several aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as her BFF, Marissa McGillivray. Stephanie was predeceased by maternal grandfather James 'Newt' Loveys and maternal grandparents, Phil and Margaret (Crummey) MacPherson. Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 29, from 7-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Calvin United Church with Captains Cyril and Eliza Keats officiating and Rev. Duncan Roach presiding. Stephanie's remains will be taken to the church at noon on Tuesday. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown, with a luncheon to follow at Calvin Hall.
