After a long full life and lengthy illness, Hazen Ronald Dunlop, son of the late Milledge and Annie (Baird) Dunlop, passed away at his residence in Smithtown, NB on March 1, 2010. Hazen was a member of the Corinthian Lodge No.13, F. & A.M. as well as a member of the Salina Kirk United Church. Besides his wife, Dorothy, Hazen is also survived by three daughters, Reta (Angus) King, Quispamsis, Donna (John) Thompson, London Ontario, Sharon (Keven) McEwen, Smithtown; one son, Winston (Nancy) Dunlop; five grandchildren, Tanya, Samantha, Katryna, Angela, and Bradley; and several nieces and nephews. Hazen was predeceased by one son, Clayton Dunlop; one brother, Myles; as well as one sister, Mabel.
Visitation will be held at Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, (832-5541) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Sunday March 7. The funeral will be held March 8 at Reid’s Funeral Home chapel at 2 pm with Rev. Karen McNeil officiating. A reception will be held following the service at the Lighthouse River Center, Hampton. Interment will be held in the Titus Hill Cemetery, Titusville, in the spring. For those who wish, memorials to Salina Kirk United Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
