We, the family would like to send a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed in any way during our time of grief. Whether, it was by phoning, visiting, sending food, cards or donations to charities. A special thank you to Margaret Jean Gillis for her prompt action in notifying the firemen and police. Also, to the police officer who was first to arrive, firemen and ambulance personnel. Dr. McVicar Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Dr. Kevin McNeil and ICU staff at the Glace Bay Hospital for their excellent care given to David. Thank you to Fr. Daniel Boudreau for the compassion he showed to David in hospital and the family during the funeral service. To the staff of Curry’s Funeral Home for their care shown to the family during our bereavement. To the pallbearers David MacDonald (nephew), Urban McNeil (brother-in-law), Victor Koziel (brother-in-law) Jerome McNeil (family friend), family members who participated in the Mass saying the readings and taking up the Communion offerings and the woman of Immaculate Conception who provided such a beautiful luncheon following the Mass.
