CUVILIER, Frances Muriel of Falmouth, formerly of Hantsport, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Coldbrook, Kings County. Born in East Walton, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Kezie (Wilson) McLellan. Following the death of her husband, she was employed with the Hants Assessment office, Windsor, from where she retired in 1986. She spent her married life in Hantsport and was a member of St. James United Church. She was active with the United Church Women, was an excellent cook and an avid bridge player and teacher. She spent many hours at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor and became affectionately known as “The Cookie Lady”. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Bill) Steeves, Coldbrook; cherished granddaughter, Jill, Ottawa; three sisters, Phyllis, Bridgewater; Dorothy, Toronto and Helen, Windsor; two brothers, Phil (Dorothy), Hantsport and Bobby (Marie). Lower Sackville; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and best friend, Frank; infant son, Gerard; sister, Jeannie and brother, Jimmie. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville and there was no visitation, by request. Family and friends were invited to attend a graveside service which was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010 in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Reverend Glennis Smith officiating. A reception followed in St. James United Church Hall, Prince Street, Hantsport. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Annapolis Valley Health - Palliative Care.
