It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daniel Edmund Payne announce his passing on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 86th year. He will be sadly missed with fond and loving memories by wife Dot (nee Miles); children: Gloria (Brian) House of Pasadena, Scott (Linda) Payne of Bonne Bay Pond, Derek (Gloria) of Massey Drive and Grace of Corner Brook; five grandchildren: Kirby (Joan), Bradley (Tracey), Blair, Colin and Lindsay; six great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Lauren, Aaron, Avery, Emilee and Evan; two sisters: Deliah Reid of Sudbury and Grace Ellsworth of Deer Lake and his caregiver, while at home, Rita O’Neill; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Country Haven Funeral Home, Corner Brook today, Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Friday at 2:00 pm. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Cremation will follow with interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Hospital Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
