It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Jane Simon announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the age of 98 years. She will be sadly missed by four sons: Martin (Bertina) of Kippens, Nazaire (Irene) of Cape St. George, Andrew (Fran) of Pinchgut Lake, Gervais (Lori) of Manitoba, six daughters Angela (Paul) of Cape St. George, Philomena (John) of Sheaves Cove, Julia (James) of Stephenville, Donalda (Michael) of Cape St. George, Venesia (Patrick) of Saskatchewan, Valery (Steve) of Australia, two sisters: Nora Bennett and Angela Young, both of Stephenville Crossing, 61 grandchildren and a large circle of great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren (a total of six generations within her family circle). She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Albert Joseph Simon, daughters, Josephine Hinks and Mary Antoinette Hinks and son, John Baptiste Simon. Friends may call at Our Lady of the Cape Parish on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, Cape St. George with Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in DeGrau. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
