(1925-2010), retired High Sheriff of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, musician and poet. Passed peacefully away on March 5 after a brief illness. Stan was surrounded by his loving family and the greatest of caregivers at Chancellor Park in St. John's. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia (McCarthy), his parents Gerald and Ida, his sister Mona and his brother Tom. Leaving to mourn are his children; Paul, Sheila, Maureen, Claire, Libby and Michael, their spouses and his seven grandchildren whom he loved very much. He also leaves behind many close relatives and friends. Stan's family wishes to sincerely thank the wonderful staff and dear friends at Chancellor Park, TLC Services as well as his many friends at Elizabeth Towers. Visitation will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 6th and 7th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be at St. Pius X Church on Monday, March 8th at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
