We the family of the late Joe Shea would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to our family, friends and neighbours for your kindness, love, support and prayers during our great loss. Thank you to all those who sent flowers, food, mass and sympathy cards, monetary gifts, emails and phone calls and donations to the various organizations.
Thank you to Father Leo Boone, Father MacIntyre and the funeral committee of St. John the Baptist Parish. Thank you to Father Conrad Edwards and the choir and organist of St. Anthony's Parish. Special thanks to the nurses on 3rd Floor East Glace Bay Health Care Corporation and the Palliative Care doctors who provided excellent care and comfort during Joe's last days. To the Glace Bay Volunteer Firefighters who formed the Honour Guard for Joe, he would have been proud. Thank you. For those who read, Margie Kennedy-Warrington (Joe's niece) and Tricia Melanson-Shea (daughter-in-law), you gave us peace. To Wendy and the staff at Chant's Funeral Home, a heartfelt thanks for your kindness, professionalism and exceptional service during our pain.
