It is with great sadness that we announce her passing on Friday February 26, 2010 following a lengthy illness. Born March 21, 1916 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Émile and Béatrice (Légère) Drisdelle. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters: Sylvia Demers (Marc) of Pointe-du-Chêne and Lucille Fréchet (René) of Montréal; six grandchildren: Serge, Marc, Parise, Monique, Mathieu and Serge; seven great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, André, Maxime, Nicolas, Alexandre, William and Lucas; many nieces and nephews. The last survivor of her immediate family, Cécile is predeceased by her husband, Émile; three children: Pauline, Ronald and Marie; her sisters and brothers: Délia, Eva, Marie, Obéline, Alice, Léa, Rita, Viola, Léo, Clarence and Edmond.
At her request, a private funeral service will be held at Frenette’s Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday March 11, 2010 at 4 p.m. Visitation for immediate family and close relatives from 2 to 4 p.m. Cécile’s family would also like to thank her caretakers, Lina, Marielle, Rose and the staff of the Dumont Hospital for the excellent care she received.
