Pauline Mary (Perry) Simmonds, of Fredericton, passed away on March 8, 2010, peacefully in her sleep. She was a longstanding resident in the extended care unit at York Manor Nursing Home. Pauline was born in Maidstone, England in 1937 and immigrated to Canada 16 years later. She was the only daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Kelly) Perry. Pauline graduated from UNB’s Teachers College in 1957 and worked for a short time as a school teacher in Fredericton and Moncton. She was married to Robert Lawson Simmonds for several years. Pauline is survived by her only daughter, Kelli Simmonds (Jamie Eddy) of Fredericton NB; two sons, R. Paul Simmonds (Linda Mayhew) of Fredericton, NB and Michael Simmonds (Steve Wilson) of Vancouver, BC; five grandchildren, David and Taylor Simmonds, Sawyer, Ethan and Ali Eddy; one brother, Tony Perry (Sue) of Ottawa, ON and her only niece, Katie Perry.
Pauline’s private funeral service is being held for immediate family members on the afternoon of March 15, 2010 with Father Monte Peters conducting the service.
