WAYE, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Burke) – Age 45, passed away suddenly at her home in Inuvik, N.W.T. on Friday, March 5, 2010. Left with fond and loving memories are her devoted husband, Calvin, and her children, Chantel, Tyler and Jordan. Cherished daughter of Mike and Jessie Burke (Witless Bay, N.L.), she will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Michelle (Nawaz), Sandra (Ian), Nancy and her brother, Rick (Sandra); her parents-in-law, Ben Waye, Greenwood; Gladys Waye, Catalina-Port Union, N.L.; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Cindy), Johnny (Carol), Gilbert, and sister-in-law, Debbie (Derm) O'Neill and her dear nieces and nephews, Justina, Baasil, Brandon, and newborn Michael, Sean, Marcus, Sherry, Ryan, Heather, Kyle, Joey; grandnieces, Haley, Brianna, Shayla. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends in Wabush, Goose Bay, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Inuvik, N.W.T. She will be resting in Atlantic Funeral Home in Dartmouth, 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 12. A funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, in St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Dartmouth. Interment to follow in Memorial Gardens in Dartmouth. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in Cornwall, P. E.I. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
