It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernadette Alexander announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the age of 84 years. She will be sadly missed by her two sons: Ron Alexander (Janice Kearney) of St. George’s, Ben Alexander of Kippens and eight daughters: Laverne (Gerry) Alexander of Stephenville Crossing, Margaret Alexander of Lab. City, Genny (Eugene) Flight of Stephenville, Regina (Edgar) Cutler of St. George’s, Evelyn (Vince) Hulan of Stephenville, Reva (Joe) Hutchings of Edmonton, Barbara (Austin) Drover of Lab. City, Donna (David) Pelley of Lab. City and sister-in-law, Kathleen Philpott of Trepassey, brother-in-law, Alphonsus Molloy of Trepassey, 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Alexander on October 3, 1973. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
