We sadly announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Gillis-Crisp on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Grand Mira, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Gillis.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Lenord, sister Stella Frazer, NY; brother Colin (Frances), Sydney; sisters Sara Black, Sydney; Helen McNeil, Sydney and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her brother Lauchie, Duncan, John Allan, and sister Alberta Black.
Margaret was known for her devotion to God and her love of teaching and she delighted in traveling the world.
At Margaret’s request, there will be no visitation. A Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 19 at St. Mary\'s Hall with Rev. Norman MacPhee officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Margaret’s Cemetery Fund.
