DURDLE, Lydia Mae– Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Lydia Mae Durdle, aged 81 years. Predeceased by her daughter Judy (1978). Leaving to mourn her loving children: Linda, Paul (Patricia), Sharon (Reginald Rumsey), Wayne (Elizabeth Russell), Corrina (Darren Dempster); fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, especially life-long friend Henry King. At Lydia’s request cremation has taken place. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family would like to extend thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at St. Clare’s Hospital, her special friends Diane and Hubert Butt and her extended family at Mount Pleasant Manor.
