Nov. 30, 1983-Jan. 17, 2009 It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter and friend, Nicole Lynn Parsons, Kilkenny Lake Road, New Victoria. Born in Sydney, Nikki was the precious daughter of Robert and Pauline (Burt) Parsons, Sydney, and loving sister to Robert (Tanya) and Melissa (Andrew MacLeod). Nikki is survived by her pride and joy, her two sons, Curtis and Dalton, at home, as well as their father, Jason MacInnis, North Sydney. Also left to mourn is Nikki's grandmother, Kay Parsons, Toronto, Ont.; numerous aunts, uncles and several cousins, especially, Charlene (Burt) Morrison. She will be missed by her companion, Chris Drover, Sydney. Aunt Nikki is also survived by her two nieces, Hailey Dwyer-Parsons and Caylie Parsons, whom she loved dearly. Nikki was very proud to be a part of Celtic Pride Cheerleading, especially her squad Heroes. She will be sorely missed by all her teammates and friends. One of Nikki's favourite pastimes with her two boys was to take them to the stock car races where they would cheer their favourite driver #8. Nikki was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Mary Lucy (Conn) Burt MacDonald and Roy MacDonald and paternal grandfather, Bob Parsons. Visitation will take place Tuesday, Jan. 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. There will be a KOC service beginning 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 at St. Joseph's Church with Fr. Donald MacGillivary officiating. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
