It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kevin Donahue, of Halfway Point, announce his peaceful passing surrounded by his family at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, March 22nd, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Mary (nee Companion); children: Maureen Hickey (late Bill Hickey), Alphonsus Donahue (Whilomena), Angela Cabot (Rick), Terry Donahue (Debbie) and Rose Marie Ford (Alfred); grandchildren: Keith Hickey (Tammy), Jason Hickey, Jeremy Donahue, Janelle Donahue, Vanessa Ford, Gordie Wilson (Neomi), Eleanor Lynch (Laird), Heather Wilson and Jonathon Wilson; sisters: Alice Barnes (George Byrne) and Carmelita Greene, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: James and Gertrude Donahue and sister Matilda. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Benoit’s Cove with Father Bernard Buckle officiating. Cremation will take place at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish or to WMRH Palliative Care Unit.
