(nee Wicks) 1910-2008 Passed peacefully away on August 23, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre in her 99 year. First recipient of the Allianz Canada Caregiver of the year award 1998. Predeceased by her husband Stewart, August 29, 1958; three sons Clyde, Aubrey and Kenneth. Leaving to mourn son Basil (Shirley), daughters Mary Helen and Marilyn Smith (Don), grandchildren Carolyn McGrath (Roger), Sandy Harris (Wayne), Ont., Jeff Knee, Paul Smith B.C., Michelle Smith (Andy) great-grandchildren Ryan and Courtney McGrath, sister Patsy Nichol of Ottawa, brother Lloyd Wicks (Eileen), special niece Margaret Cooze, special friends Mabel Russell, Maxine Hiscock, Anne Young, Patsy Payne, Marge Gorman, Shirley Morgan and Linda Peach. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service in St. John the Evangelist Church, Topsail on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Forest Road.
