MURPHY, Phyllis Rita (nee Knight) - Phyllis, beloved wife of Thomas Murphy, and daughter of Stephen Walker and Laura Upshall Knight, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She leaves us to join her brothers, Herb, Frank and Jim, sisters, Marjorie and June, daughter Arlene and son, James. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her brothers, Charlie and Stephen, sister, Doreen and daughters, Gail, Janet and Beverley, and son, Brian. Beloved grandmother of thirteen: Stephen, Michael, Elizabeth and Jonathan Lee; Amber, Tyler, and Meghan Bonnell; Stephanie and Cora Montalban; and Matthew, Andrew, Laura and Richard Giles. Phyllis touched all with her caring spirit, love of family, sense of humour, and her infectious laughter. Per her wishes, a private family memorial was held in her honour on March 7, 2009.
