The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, March 14, 2009, of Jennie Frances Rogers of Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, and formerly of Chelton, P.E.I., aged 83 years. Jennie was born on March 30, 1925, in Chelton, P.E.I., to her late parents, George and Bertha (nee Campbell) Rogers. Jennie is survived her brother, Everett, of Clinton, P.E.I., and her sister-in-law, Doris, of Borden, P.E.I. Also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jennie was predeceased by her sisters, Caroline, Margaret, Pansy, Marion and Ruby, and by her brothers, Haviland, Wyman and Lewis. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Tuesday March 17, 2009, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m.. Visiting hours on Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. only. Interment to take place in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, St. Eleanors, at a later date. Memorial donations in Jennie’s memory to the P.E.I. Lung Association or to the Prince County Hospital Foundation may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside.
