The death occurred at Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague on Thursday, March 12, 2009 of Carolyn F. McGowan (nee Larter) of Montague, age 64 years. Beloved daughter of the late Bill and Irene (nee Perry) Larter. Wife of John McGowan of Montague, and mother of Michelle Dewar. She is also survived by stepchildren Allister, Todd and Jessie, sisters Helen (Lorne) Sherry of Michigan, Wilma (Emile) Gany of St. Peters Bay, Lorraine (Hugh) MacCormack of Ontario, and Joanne (John) Howlett of Bedford, NS, brother Maurice (Doreen) Larter of BC, and aunt Grace King. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son Robbie Dewar. Resting at the Charlottetown Funeral Home until 9:45 a.m. Thursday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in Valleyfield United Cemetery.
