Passed peacefully away at the Escasoni Complex on March 16, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, Ivy M. Lodge, aged 91 years. Predeceased by her first husband Malcolm J. Harris (1981); infant son Ford (1936); second husband Herbert S. Lodge (2002) and grandson-in-law David J. Cox (2006). Left with memories are daughter Edith (Herman Roberts), Mount Pearl; sons: Donald Harris (Louise), Kingston, NS and Dawson Harris (Venita), Sudbury, ON; grandchildren: Frances (Robert DeLacey), Kathleen Cox, Danny Roberts (Glenda), Chris Harris (Blanche), Barry Harris (Wanda), Glen Harris (Michelle), Scott Harris (Amanda), Greg Harris (Jodi) and Richard Harris; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter and four step-great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are two sisters: Meta Dawe and Violet (Alfred Thomas); three brothers: Major George Cave (Winnie), Jim Cave (Rosalind), Ross Cave (Norma), step-brother Eric Ward (Joyce); sisters-in-law: Lena Cave, Annie Cave and Ruby Leawood; as well as her extended family at 3 West Escasoni Complex, especially Rod Hayward. Also a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 7-9 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 10 a.m. - 12 noon Wednesday. Funeral service to be held from Wesley United Church, Patrick Street, on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
