Mary Ann 'Theresa' Frenette (Romo), 62, of East Jeddore. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2009, with her family around her, after a strong but brief battle with brain cancer. Theresa was very strong and brave through her illness and always kept a smile on her face, no matter how she was feeling. She was the daughter of the late Alban (Alphonsine) Frenette and Stella Boudreau. Theresa moved to Halifax in the early 1960s to later complete the Certified Nursing Assistant Program at the Halifax Infirmary in 1965. She was blessed with two children, Annette (Garnet) Arnold of East Jeddore, and Shawn (Shelley) Romo,of West Chezzetcook. From her children she was blessed with three grandchildren, Samantha Arnold, Monica and Jeremy Romo, who were all three the "apples of her eyes". Theresa would like to say goodbye to Gerald (Dianne) Romo of Head of Chezzetcook, her ex-husband that she shared 35 years of her life with. She would also like to say goodbye to her sister, Doris-Ann Kerr of Ottawa, Ont.; sister, Susan Faulkner; brother, Peter (Debbie) Frenette of Amherst; and sister, Edith (Michael) O'Brien of P.E.I.; many cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as aunts, uncles and many friends. Theresa would also like to say goodbye to her lifelong friend Anne Martin, who she shared a lot of laughs with. Family flowers only please. Public visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. in Rowlings Funeral Home in Musquodoboit Harbour on March 9, service to followed at St. Anselms Church on March 13 at 2 p.m. It is with very heavy hearts that we have to let you go but we know that you will always be watching over us.
