Mae leaves to mourn, daughters Sandra Sutherland (Robert Blagen) of Youngstown, AB, Judy Puzianoski of Vancouver, BC; grandchildren Tom Hluskak (Karen) of Ottawa, ON, Vicki Duffield (James) of Cereal, AB, Kenny Sutherland (Michelle) of Calgary, AB, Lyle Sutherland of Calgary, AB, R.Neil Sutherland of Youngstown, AB, Leslie Hannig of Vancouver, BC, Jennifer Puzianoski of Vancouver, BC; one brother Elmer Johnson of Calgary, AB; eight great grandchildren, Jeri Lee (Derek), Chance Daianne, Ryder, Avery, Steven, Maggie, Brooklyn; numerous nieces and nephews and lots of dear friends. Mae was born on the farm near Bradock, SK. She was the third youngest of twelve children and lived in Saskatchewan until she finished school, then she joined her two sisters Flo and Dolly in Calgary, AB. There she met and married Alex McBain. Alex and Mae did try farming for a few years south of Cereal, AB, but decided to return to the city. She passed away peacefully in the Oyen Extended Care Center on March 12, 2009. She was predeceased by her parents, Christ and Marie Johnson; husband, Alex; son Kenneth (Jock); grandsons, Steven and David; eight sisters, Mable, Lillian, Thelma, Selma, Clara, Alice, Gladys (Dolly), and Florance; as well as two brothers Carl and Joe. There will be no service as requested by Mae. Her wish is that memorial tributes be made to the Breast Cancer Association or a charity of your choice. Arrangements were in care of Mac Lean’s Funeral home at Oyen, AB.
