He was predeceased by his parents Orville and Rita, and his brothers Kerwin and Royce. Garnis was born in Swift Current, and later raised in Vancouver and Victoria. He returned to the prairies at age 15 and became an electrician. He began farming in 1960. His heart was with his Lord and Saviour, his family, and his land and crops. He raised his four children on a farm near Kyle, and was active in our church in Swift Current. He enjoyed his farming years before retiring to Saskatoon. The Celebration of Garnis’ Life will be held at Lawson Heights Pentecostal Assembly (233 Pinehouse Drive) on Friday, March 20, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor John Drisner. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Village of Hope Mission in Zimbabwe (Please make cheques payable to Lawson Heights Pentecostal Assembly). The family would like to thank the staff at Saint Paul’s Intensive Care Unit for the excellent care they provided during Garnis’s stay. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to John Schachtel – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (978-5200).
