Suddenly at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, of Ruth Georgina Coughlin of Hills River, P.E.I., age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Willard Coughlin who predeceased her in 1977. Born on July 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Blanche (nee Hodgson) Matthews. Lovingly remembered by her children, Cora (Eldon) Hardy of Cascumpec, Mona (Tom) Cotie of Milk River, Alta., Wade (Betty) of Alberton, Lynn (Gordon) Adams of Alberton, Angela (Wade) MacDonald of Brooklyn, Roger (Marilyn) of Fortune Cove, Cindy (Lennie) Gillis of Stratford, Janet Coughlin Cameron of Summerside, Alexis (Jimmy) Hardy of Alberton, Kent (Charlotte) of Alberton. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Hanscom, and by a brother-in-law, Perley Hardy, both of Alberton. She will be sadly missed by her 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marion Wallace and Ethel McKinnon, as well as a sister-in-law, Anna Hardy. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday, March 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday morning March 20 from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, for funeral service at 11 a.m Rev. John A.C.
