(Member of the Pouch Cove Lions Club) – Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit after a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, Mary Pomeroy, age 67 years. Predeceased by her husband Gervase Pomeroy, parents Alexander and Violet and brothers Pat and Gerald. Left with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Ann-Marie Pomeroy (Paul), Cathy Pomeroy and Evelyn Vanderburge (Michael); grandchildren; Ann-Marie, Kassandra, Kayla and Karl; sisters: Bridget (Ron) Culbert, Brenda (Fabian) Shannihan, Anne-Marie (Manuel) Saunders, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation Thursday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 21st. at 1 p.m. from St. Agnes’ Church, Pouch Cove. Cremation to follow with inurnment at St. Agnes’ Cemetery at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Daffodil Place.
