Entered into the Arms of the Angels on Thursday, March 19, 2009, age 49. Predeceased by his father, John; mother, Maude; brother, Joseph. Left with fond and loving memories sisters: Mary (Robert) Hayes - his best friend and confidante, Patricia (Bill) Harris, Mable (Gerald) Tobin, Margaret (Jim) Pike; brothers: Frank (Nellie), Clarence (Ann), Don (Doreen), Paul (Karen); sister-in-law, Patricia Newman; special nephew, Joshua Hayes; and all other nephews and nieces who loved and admired him. Also left to mourn, his extended families, the Community of Christian Brothers in Vancouver and the teachers, staff and students at Vancouver College. The prayers, love and support posted on Facebook during his illness in September and since his passing is evidence of the positive influence he had on his students and truly defined his true purpose in life. He never lost his zest for teaching. Memorial service in Vancouver on Tuesday, March 24. Funeral arrangements for St. John\'s to be announced at a later date.
